Less grief today — more coping. Excited by the pandemic-caused opportunity to shop Baldor Foods, our local restaurant supplier. OMG, amazaballs! Such variety & deliciousness. As a foodie, I am thrilled. Would love to throw a party with this access (or cook for an SCA event!) but most likely they'll stop offering home delivery when gatherings are safe again. Who knows — if the restaurant business is hit too hard, they may continue home service for a while... Spot the assumption — that mass gatherings will be safe again. Seems likely, if history follows pattern. Black Death, "Spanish" flu — this, too, should pass.
Today's plans — cook (maple carrots, quiche, bread?), sew a mask for myself, sort wall art waiting (in piles around the living room) to be re-hung. It will be nice to reclaim living space for the 3 of us.
Today's count:
Strong grief wave. I will let it flow me into bed...
Nap failed. Applied long, hot shower. Socialized with boy — some talking, some on our own devices. Bathed cat's butt & clipped his ingrown claws.
Current figures:
