...and accomplished! Finally finished sewing up (needed new bobbin -- winding arm now working correctly, huzzah! -- and new thread) the blue pants with the re-made back pieces. Fit testing suggests we are go.

"Mom, can we make shorts next?" Why, yes, dear, especially since I have a lovely piece of linen that is Too Small for pants. Brown shorts, done! Now being fit tested. (I am startled by how well they fit.)

P.S. 3 pairs of pants and 1 pair of shorts, all done but the hems! (To be done post-laundering in one great hemming frenzy.) Go me. School starts the day after tomorrow. *gulp* But he'll be clad!
