P.P.S. Points for re-normalizing things by having a black boss. Although I'm still not sure if he's meant to be preternaturally aware of what's going on under him (and thus rewarding work appropriately), or oblivious but lucky to have the white guy on his team.

P.P.S. Speaking of oblivious but lucky, no, of course I haven't had read the book yet. It's not out. But I heard Sheryl Sandberg keynote at Grace Hopper last year. And I thought then, as I think now, that some of us leaned in so hard we fell over.
