A/C

We have officially reached summer -- last night, we turned on the a/c (window units). I was hoping to have installed ceiling fans by now, but as ever we are SLOW. Mr. X's bedroom fan has been sitting in the office where it was delivered for ... over a month? For progressives, we are shockingly conservative.

I confess I run these 3 machines with a sense of impending doom -- financial, environmental, local & global climate change... yet I carpe this diem, this moment, this here & now in which I am being not sweaty, not cranky, not overheated.

(Is this how you feel driving an SUV? Tyrant of the road?)
